Lawn Maintenance:


Lawn service will be provided on a weekly basis on a scheduled day each week during the growing season (April through October). In the event that it rains the services provided will be scheduled for the next available day.  Lawn service will include mowing all grass areas, trimming the walkways and driveways, around all flower beds and trees.  After all that’s done, we will blow off your sidewalks and driveway to ensure you don’t bring clippings into your home.

Power Raking

A healthy lawn requires water, oxygen, and nutrients in its soil.  Thatch (roots, crowns, and grass clippings) creates a mat of vegetation on the soil, which helps to keep soil temperatures low and to retain moisture.  However, when thatch builds up, it can prevent water, oxygen, and nutrients from reaching the soil, resulting in the decrease in ability to thrive and fight disease and dehydration. 
Power Raking mechanically removes excess thatch from the turf.  We only will power rake completely dormant yards in the spring, to prevent damage to turf and to ensure the best chances of recovery.
Once power raking is finished, lawn aeration is recommended, so that the fullest amount of additional water, oxygen, and nutrients can be achieved.


Why Aerate?
A healthy root system is a must for an attractive lawn.  Oxygen in the soil is vital for healthy roots.  Root growth is inhibited by clay and compacted soils because of a restricted oxygen supply. Aerating improves rooting and problem soils by allowing air into the soil. An aerator does this job mechanically without destroying the turf.
Lawn problems improved by aerating include thatch, poor drainage, heavy traffic, walking, playing and compaction caused by heavy

  • Healthy roots are necessary for healthy lawns.
  • Roots make up 90 percent of the grass plant.
  • Roots take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide.
  • Restricted air movement into the soil reduces health and vigour of the turf.
  • Aerating equipment mechanically improves the movement of atmospheric air into the soil and carbon dioxide out of the soil.
